Itinerary

July 26 - Venice, Italy

Experience Venice, one of the most captivating—and romantic—cities in the world. Tour the city’s cobblestone streets and overarching bridges, or take to the water and explore the canals on a water taxi or gondola. As you make your way through the city, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to shop, sample delicious Veneto wines, or people watch in Piazza San Marco.

July 27 - Opatija, Croatia

It has doubled for Nice, France, in movies and is the birthplace of Croatian coastal tourism. The charming seaside town of Opatija was once the place to be for the elegant, glamorous elite. One look at the pretty oceanside promenade, impressive monuments, well-manicured parks, famous fountains, grand spa hotels, and magnificent Belle Époque villas, and it’s easy to see why. Take a selfie with the Girl with a Seagull statue, climb to the top of lush Mount Učka and its landmark stone tower for a truly magnificent panoramic view, or simply soak up this beautiful coastal setting.

July 28 - Zadar, Croatia

Old meets new in beautiful Zadar. Walk quaint cobblestone streets from a bygone era that give way to modern marvels of architecture and technology. Escape the city and explore two national parks—Krka and Plitvice—both teeming with natural beauty. Afterwards, sample Maraschino, a traditional liqueur made from marasca cherries and produced in Zadar distilleries since the 16th century.

July 29 - Split, Croatia

Venture to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Diocletian’s Palace, which dates back to the 4th century. Let intuition be your guide as you spend the day meandering through the cobblestone streets. Wander down to the water’s edge and stroll along the Riva, the spectacular white marble-esque promenade. And if you do lose your bearings, one of the locals will be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

July 30 - Dubrovnik, Croatia

From the moment you step beyond the stonewalls that protects Dubrovnik, you’ll understand what makes it so special. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is adorned with charming squares and centuries-old red-roofed buildings. Walk the walls for a spectacular view of the city, and if anything looks familiar, it’s probably because Dubrovnik is the home of King’s Landing on HBO’s Game of Thrones.

July 31 - Kotor, Montenegro

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kotor is filled with churches, shops, bars, restaurants, and hidden piazzas. (The latter are perfect for enjoying Montenegrin wines like the red Vranac or dry white Krstač.) The entire city is surrounded by stone, both in the form of imposing Mount Saint John and by towering ancient walls, creating a cozy feeling of protection when you walk the cobblestone streets.

Aug 1 - Hvar, Croatia

Known as the “Sunniest Place in Europe”, Hvar receives an average of 7.7 hours of sunshine per day. So sunbathing is a favorite pastime here, especially at the beaches of Dubovica and the Pakleni Islands. There are plenty more jaw-dropping sights to see here: lush olive groves, fruit orchards, fields of lavender, and dozens of vineyards, since Hvar is one of the top winemaking regions in Croatia.

Aug 2 - Sibenik, Croatia

A must see in the old part of Sibenik is the Cathedral Sveti Jakov, and if you love the great outdoors, then visit Krka National Park. One of the best ways to see Sibenik is to lose yourself in the side streets and alleys that lead to charming shops and squares. Be sure to take a break at one of the city’s many restaurants and enjoy a local red babić paired with some fresh Adriatic seafood.
